Bahamas Trip
There are several great things about the food in the Bahamas but one of my favorites was how the locals make Conch Salad. I was in the Bahamas last week end with Fulton and Alden for a photo shoot. We had a local boat driver who took us to the area next to where James Bond swam in the Grotto in the movie Thunderball. He dove down in about water of 15 feet and pulled up about 15 fresh Conch. We cleaned them there on the boat and because of some looming storm clouds headed back to port. On the deck of the boat on the way the fresh Conch were cleaned and prepped. Once at port fresh tomatoes chopped along with peppers, onions and fresh limes. Salt and pepper and all mixed together. MMMMMMUUUUMMMM good. Very very fresh.
